Tech Mahindra, a global provider of technology consulting and digital solutions, has partnered with IBM to help organizations sustainably accelerate the use of genetic artificial intelligence worldwide.
This partnership brings together Tech Mahindra’s range of AI offerings, TechM amplifAI0->∞and IBM’s watsonx AI and data platform with AI assistants.
Customers can now combine the capabilities of IBM watsonx with Tech Mahindra’s AI engineering and consulting skills to access a variety of new productive AI services, frameworks and architectural solutions. This enables the development of artificial intelligence applications in which organizations can use their trusted data to automate processes. It also provides a foundation for businesses to build reliable AI models, promotes explanation to help manage risk and bias, and enables scalable AI adoption in hybrid cloud and on-premise environments.
According to Kunal Purohit, Head of Digital Services at Tech Mahindra, organizations are focusing on responsible AI practices and incorporating productive AI technologies to revitalize businesses.
“Our work with IBM can help drive digital transformation for organizations, adopt GenAI, modernize and ultimately drive business growth for our global customers,” Purohit added.
To further enhance business capabilities in artificial intelligence, Tech Mahindra has created a watsonx virtual center of excellence (CoE), which is already operational. This CoE functions as a co-innovation center, with a dedicated team tasked with maximizing synergies between the two companies and producing unique offerings and solutions based on their combined capabilities.
Collaborative offerings and solutions developed through this collaboration could help enterprises achieve their goals of building machine learning models using open source frameworks while enabling them to scale and accelerate the impact of genetic AI . These AI-based solutions have the potential to help organizations improve efficiency and productivity responsibly.
Kate Woolley, GM of the IBM Ecosystem, highlighted the potential of collaboration, adding that genetic AI can serve as a catalyst for innovation, unlocking new market opportunities when built on a foundation of explanation, transparency and trust.
Woolley said: “Our work with Tech Mahindra is expected to extend the reach of watsonx, enabling even more customers to build trusted AI as we seek to combine our technology and expertise to support enterprise use cases such as modernization code, digital work and customer service.”
This partnership is in line with Tech Mahindra’s continued drive to transform businesses with advanced AI-driven offerings and solutions, including their recent additions such as Vision Booster, Ops Booster, Email Booster, Enterprise Knowledge Search offering , Evangelize Pair Programming and Generative AI Studio.
It is worth mentioning that the two companies have worked together in the past. Earlier this year, Tech Mahindra announced the opening of a Synergy Lounge in collaboration with IBM at the company’s Singapore campus. This Lounge seeks to accelerate digital adoption for APAC organizations. It helps enable and leverage next-generation technologies such as artificial intelligence, intelligent automation, hybrid cloud, 5G, edge computing and cyber security.
Beyond Tech Mahindra, IBM watsonx has been used in other collaborations to accelerate the development of genetic artificial intelligence. Also earlier this year, the GSMA and IBM announced a new partnership to support the use and potential of generative AI in the telecommunications industry with the launch of the GSMA Advance AI Training Program and the GSMA Foundry Generative AI Program .
In addition, there is a digital version of the program that covers both business strategy and the technological basics of genetic artificial intelligence. This initiative uses IBM watsonx to provide hands-on training to architects and developers seeking in-depth practical AI knowledge.
